Main for me

Well aside from the point that I'm very buisy now with school, I'm finding the captain rather tiresome anymore. Pretty much willing to play anything, so what class would best help out for the kin? And don't say "It's your choice" and "Whatever you want", because I don't know what I want. These would be my favorite choices: Hunt, Burg, Mini, Guard. I already have a lvl20something hunter, I've played burgs before so know how they work, but I'd really love to play a bigger role with healing or tanking.

And once it's figured out, I promise I'll actually play and level up .

Well, I love my hunter. Leveling him to 60 was a breeze. Why don't you look at either a warden (dps/tank and pretty fun) or Rune Keeper (healer/dps)?

i would say mini is needed the most...but i say give both a shot to see what you like better.

My top 3 toons, and why I like to play 'em:

Champion (Stonehammer):  My main man.  He's the "Stone-o-matic"!  He slices, he dices, he juliennes!  Two axes, no waiting.  Very high DPS, especially now that I've pretty much maxed him out with weapons & armour (until Book 9 comes out, that is).  Squishy though - if he doesn't bring down a baddie quickly, he could be in trouble as he is relatively weak on self-heals.  With a champion, it's a constant race against time & DPS when soloing.  Fun to play if you like hack & slash, which I do.

Minstrel (Bellina):  Always a need for a minstrel.  There's rarely a time when I post "Mini LFF..." that I have to wait long.  Now that the kin is doing a lot more high-level group stuff, the more mini's we have, the better.  Properly kitted out, she's pretty competent at soloing too.

Hunter (Cynwyth):  Wicked DPS and skills.  Still not fully kitted out, but she's more than capable of taking down big baddies with the proper use of skills like traps & roots.  Heartseeker is a stealth-missile!  Very fun class to play if you like being sneaky.  If you're into PvP (which I'm not particularly, but dabble in from time to time), hunters are deadly.  Also, hunters make it very easy for groups to port from place to place.

Thanks everyone (especially Stonehammer for describing so much )! Now thinking of it, I'm pretty sure that I actually want to go with a Dwarf mini for sure, and maybe a guardian in the background.
